Comenius University Bratislava, Faculty of Law is organising 20th annual international scholarly conference for Ph.D. students and young researchers "The Milestones of Law in Central Europe 2026". The conference will be held under the auspices of the Dean of Faculty of Law, Comenius University in Bratislava, prof. JUDr. Eduard Burda, PhD. from 27 – 28 March 2026 (Friday – Saturday) in the premises of Purpose-built facility of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Častá – Papiernička.
The conference is intended for all Ph.D. students and law researchers who have not obtained the scientific and pedagogical title of associate professor yet.
International scholarly conference "The Milestones of Law in Central Europe 2026" with the central theme "Progress and Innovation in Law: Between Tradition and Modern Challenges in the V4 Region" will serve as a unique platform for approximately 150 young researchers, primarily from the V4 countries, to present their work, engage in discussions on current legal challenges (not only) related to the central topic of the conference, and establish valuable cross-border cooperation and connections that can support their academic and professional development. The event will be held in the premises of the Special Purpose-built facility of the National Council of the Slovak Republic "Častá – Papiernička", which, in addition to the premises for the official part of the conference, also provides suitable premises for the social program and accommodation of participants.
